10.00: Departure - visit ALGAR SECO - visit to Lagos, walk in old town
13.00 : Lunch in a typical restaurant in Lagos.
After lunch we will continue our tour of the Western Algarve, first stopping to
admire the beautiful rock formations at PONTA DE PIEDADE.
Afterwards we will have the opportunity to visit the last outpost of Europe – SAGRES where we can admire the Atlantic Ocean in all its grandeur. This is the last land of Portugal that the sailors saw before departing on their voyages of discovery to the Americas and to the Far East! There will also bethe possibility to visit the Sagres Fortress..
After the Western Algarve tour we will return to the hotel in Alvor for some rest and relaxation.

Thursday 13th November
08.00 – 0930 Breakfast
10.00 : This morning we will visit the delighdul and historic town of SILVES. Silves was the old capital of the Algarve. Under the Moors (9th to 12th Century) Silves was an important fortified town and a bustling trading centre. Today life in Silves is unhurried but one can still see remnants of its history,
especially its Castle and fortifications and its Gothic cathedral built on the site
of a former Muslim mosque.
Silves is a visitors’ delight with its cobbled streets and ambiance of a quiet and charming Portuguese town. If we have time, we can also visit the Mercado Municipal and taste local liquers.
13.00 : Lunch in GUIA in a typical Algarve restaurant that specialises in chicken. Guia Chicken is famous throughout the Algarve. As usual the food will be washed down with delicious Portuguese wine and beer.
15.00: Walking visit to Albufeira: - Praca do Albufeira - Praia dos Pescadores - Baixa do Albufeira (Old Town) - Albufeira Tunnel
17.30 : Return to Hotel
20.00 : Dinner in hotel
Friday 14th November

10.00: Departure to Faro.
The Algarve’s capital has a more distinctly Portuguese feel than most resort
towns. It has an attractive marina, well-maintained parks and plazas, and a
picturesque cidade velha (old town) ringed by medieval walls and winding,
cobbled pedestrian streets, squares and buildings.11.00: Boat trip in Faro (weather permitting)
13.00 : Lunch in a typical restaurant in the Old Town of Faro
14.30 : Free time to walk in the Old Town, admire the Cathedral, Faro Marina etc.
16.30 : Return to the hotel
19.30 : Dinner in the hotel
