Thus, I had the great pleasure to participate in the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Élysée Treaty in Chalon en Champagne from 27 April to 1 May.
Everything else now from the hostess
Pierrette Lurot, president of the Jumelage Poste et Télécoms de Châlons en Champagne, welcomed her German twinners from BONN and also those from BOURGES with their president Michel Mainigault for the event held from 27 to 30 April 2023
International President Peter Backes and French National President Michel MOREL were also present at this event.

On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Elysée Treaty, concluded between General De Gaulle and Chancellor Konrad Adenauer and intended to promote rapprochement between peoples. It is in this context that the Châlons association welcomed its partners from BONN and BOURGES.
The programme for these four days of meetings included:
Guided tour of the city centre of Châlons en Champagne, complete with a boat trip on the Mau and Nau rivers.
Discovery of the Champagne vineyards and visit of the "Canard Duchesne" cellar with champagne tasting.
The cathedral of Reims and its stained glass windows, the Avenue de Champagne in Epernay and other prestigious "champagne houses" completed these cultural tours.
Many moments of conviviality facilitated the reunion between the twinners of our two countries.
At the end of September, the inhabitants of the Champagne region will have the pleasure of visiting the town of BONN and its surroundings.
